What gets removed
Metadata can reveal more than you think. This tool creates a copy without the common information stored alongside an image file.
Coordinates that can reveal the exact place where a photo was taken.
Information about when an image was created.
Details such as the smartphone, camera or lens model.
EXIF, XMP, IPTC and text fields used by apps, cameras and editing software.
JPG and PNG copies keep their original visual content. WebP and HEIC files are converted into a new clean copy directly in your browser.
Depending on the export, online editors, apps and photo-editing software can store information about the software used, the author or the workflow in a file. This data is often useful, but not always needed when sharing a photo publicly.
Common questions

We remove common metadata: GPS, date, camera model, and EXIF, XMP, IPTC or text blocks stored in the file. This can include information added by apps or editing software.
You can use JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and HEIF. Choose up to 100 photos and download all clean copies in one ZIP file.
Yes. HEIC and HEIF photos are converted locally into a new JPG or PNG copy without their original metadata. JPG is recommended for size and compatibility; PNG avoids another compression step but can be much larger.
Choose your photos and create clean copies in seconds, with no upload and no account.
